Canvas Model Canoe

A charming piece of early Canadian folk craftsmanship, this miniature canoe was handmade in Quebec circa 1925. Constructed in wood and canvas with its original green painted surface intact, the form captures the quiet utility and enduring romance of traditional northern waterways.

The canoe retains its original paddle, while the gunwales — crafted in two joined sections — speak to its hand-built construction and vernacular character. Rich with age and authenticity, it is a beautifully scaled decorative object with unmistakable Canadiana appeal.

Presented in good condition with an old repair to one gunwale and minor wear to the canvas consistent with age and use.
