Collection: Steiff

Steiff invented the teddy bear. Not "a" teddy bear — the actual, original one, back in 1902, out of a small German toy workshop. Every real Steiff animal still wears the "Button in Ear," a little tag added in 1904 specifically to stop cheap knockoffs from passing themselves off as the real thing — which tells you they've been dealing with imitators since before your grandparents were born.

These aren't stuffed animals so much as heirlooms with fur. If you want a gift that's still getting passed around a cottage in thirty years, this is the shelf.
